Greta P Hicks, CPA, is a former IRS training manager and tax manager for Ernst & Young.  Ms Hicks has taught for the University Of Houston School of Optometry, Texas A&M Agricultural Extension Service, the Texas Society of CPAs, California CPA Foundation, plus dozens of other professional, trade and educational organizations.  Ms Hicks currently serves on the Editorial Board of  the Texas Society of CPAs and is Tax Editor of Today’s CPA.  Also, she is active on the TSCPA IRS Relations Committee and former coordinator of Houston’s IRS/Practitioner Study Group.  Greta is the author of www.CCH.com, Tax Research Service, Practice Section, “IRS Examination and Appeals Procedures;”  Guidelines for Record and File Retention” AICPA’s 2007 Edition for MAP Selected Readings; and “More Than Money” reprinted by the Utah CPA Society.  In April 2007 Greta’s paper, ”Due Diligence Defense,” has been selected to be presented to the Midwest Accounting Association
